Mobile Van Servicing and Repairs at Your Door
Small and medium vans, serviced and repaired where the van sits. Same work we do on cars, no van left at a garage for the day.
A van off the road is a day you are not earning. We come to the van rather than the other way round, so it stays where it is until it is ready to work again.
It is the same work we do on cars: servicing, brakes, diagnostics, batteries, auto electrics, and coolant, power steering and manual gearbox fluid changes. Small and medium vans, at your home or your yard, across Soham, Ely, Newmarket, Cambridge and the villages in between.
Vans fail their MOT more than cars, and it is not because they are older: across 11,279 local van tests 36.3% failed against 28.0% of cars, and local vans are actually slightly the younger of the two.
The median local van has covered 96,412 miles against 73,272 for the median car, about a third more.
Lights and electrics are on nearly half of every failing van in our area, 49.4% against 39.1% for cars. Tyres and suspension, which people assume are the van problem, actually fail slightly less often on a van.
Servicing
Interim, full and major, the same three levels we do on cars, with the oil and filters your van actually takes.
Brakes
Pads and discs per axle, and brake fluid changes. Done on the drive with the wheels off.
Diagnostics
Warning light read properly with live data, and told in plain English what it means before anything is ordered.
Batteries and auto electrics
Battery testing and replacement, alternators, starter motors, coils and plugs.
Fluids
Coolant, power steering and manual gearbox oil. We do not touch automatic or DSG boxes.
Pre-MOT check
The common fail points looked over before the test, which matters more on a van than a car.
What that means if you run one
The figures above are our own, from local MOT records rather than a national average. Three things follow from them.
Book on miles, not on the calendar
If the van is doing a third more miles than a car, it reaches the same wear in about two thirds of the time. A yearly service is a car habit.
Check the lights before the test, not after
It is the single commonest reason a van fails, and it is usually the cheapest thing on the list to put right.
Do not assume it is the tyres
They fail slightly less often on a van than on a car, so a van that feels tired is more likely to be something else.

What affects the price
Whatever your car, the price is agreed with you up front and in writing: a £20 call-out, then a clear quote for the work. No hidden fees, no surprise on the bill.
- The van, because a Transit Connect and a Vivaro are not the same job
- What the van actually needs, which we agree with you before anything starts
- Parts, quoted for your van rather than an average
- Whether it is one van or several, if you run more than one
The same job, without losing your day
Same tools, same quality parts, same standard, done at your home or work instead of a workshop. It is James who turns up, every time, so you are not explaining the car to someone new. Where a job genuinely needs a ramp he'll tell you straight, but most of what a garage does, we do on your driveway.
