The mechanic who comes to your door
SV Autos is a small, independent mobile mechanic run by James Snow. We're based in Soham and we come to you across Ely, Newmarket, Cambridge and the villages in between, so your car gets sorted on your own driveway.
James started SV Autos to do car work the way it should be done: honestly, at a fair price, without the wait, the mark-ups or the mystery bill you get from some garages. When we quote you a price, that's the price, agreed in writing before we start, with a £20 call-out and everything else made clear up front.
We work on all makes and models, petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric, from a full service to diagnostics, brakes, batteries and electrical faults. On electric cars we do the everyday work and leave the high-voltage side to a specialist. Where a job genuinely needs a workshop ramp we'll tell you straight, but most of what a garage does, we do at your door.

Do not take our word for it
James came to this from roadside recovery, getting stranded drivers moving again at the side of the road, which is where you learn to fix things without a workshop around you. SV Autos is fully insured. There is no workshop and no showroom: the van comes to your driveway, and everything is priced before it starts.
And if something is not right with work we have done, contact us and we will put right anything that is our fault.
